Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey calls for unity among Americans as the COVID-19 pandemic – and the government’s response to the virus – continues to divide citizens along political lines.

On Tuesday, McConaughey appeared in the Fox News special report with Bret Baier to talk about how the new coronavirus and government blockages have gone from a public health emergency to a heated political debate.

McConaughey noted that “even wearing a mask is politicized,” so now the story seems to be if you wear a mask, you are liberal, and if you do not wear a mask, you are conservative. The actor says it’s just not true.

Now McConaughey says that Americans are waging “two wars” because the virus has divided people according to politics. He thinks that people are waging war against each other, and that the other is fighting with the virus.
