I don’t know if there is a better synchronous PvP experience than what Dark Souls 3 easily offers; invading another player’s world and trying to use the environment and existing enemies to kill them for a few skinny souls is always an absolute blast. Until, of course, cheaters enter the server and trample on you, leaving you with absolutely no other option than to be simply murdered over and over again.
It’s certainly a very minor annoyance in the larger scheme of Dark Souls 3 PvP; it is much more fun for bad actors in the title to permanently modify your character, adding or removing millions of souls to report you as a cheater.FromSoft Disables Steam’s Family Sharing For Dark Souls 3 To Keep Cheaters Out Of Official Servers
This frustrating pattern created a bit of a problem; innocent users are forbidden in the shade, allowing them to play only on cheating servers; a server which, as its name suggests, brings together the bad actors. Known as injection hacking, malicious players can force items into your inventory that cannot be deleted, and when this data is uploaded to FromSoft, you receive a big fat ban that is difficult to remove from your account .
